OR
Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks)
OR
Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks)

Selection Process
Phase I – Prelims: Online objective test: 100 marks, 1 hour Sections: English (30), Reasoning (35), Quant Aptitude (35) – all separately timed Sectional cut-off; ~20× vacancies shortlisted for Mains Phase II – Mains (Generalist): Objective Test: 200 marks, 150 min (Reasoning, English, GA, Quant, Computer) Descriptive Test: 30 marks (Essay & Precis) – qualifying only Phase II – Mains (Hindi Officer): Objective Test: 200 marks, 120 min (Reasoning, English, Professional Knowledge, GA, Computer) Descriptive Test: 50 marks (Essay, Letter, Translation) Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer Final Merit: Main Objective Marks + Interview (Descriptive is qualifying). |
